Ah, summer in the city…so much to do, how to choose?! My summers are quite different than they once were. Pre-kids they were filled with street fests, outdoor beer gardens, al fresco dining and movies in Grant Park. Now they’re filled with camps, bike rides, pooltime in the backyard, and many, many trips to the park, particular favorites are any park with a water feature. We did sneak in a kids movie in our neighborhood park last week, which was much fun!
Today we ventured out to one of the best parks in the city, Mary Bartelme Park, in the West Loop. Though this isn’t near our neighborhood, I like getting out and exploring new parks with the kids and this is by far one of mine and the kids favorites we’ve visited this summer. The only disappointing part was that the fountain gates weren’t working. We still had a great time and look forward to going back!

I love that there are so many things to do with the kids, that's so great.
Sometimes it feels like too many options, it can be overwhelming, but I'll take it over getting bored:)
You see a lot of good, fun things.
The third one is cool. I like the tilted squares, gives quite the illusion.
