If you saw yesterday’s post you know I covered both the red and yellow lines of the ‘L’. I’ve probably traveled the red line more than any other line in the city but have never taken it further north than the Addison stop or further south than the Sox/35th stop. Seems crazy since I’ve been north of Addison countless times.
Just like the blue line, the red line is both elevated and underground and is likely the busiest line of the ‘L’. I had a hard time getting a good spot to get images either because it was so crowded, despite traveling in the middle of the day, or because I ended up on one of the, very controversial, new CTA cars. They just don’t have seating that makes it easy for me to stand up and shoot without having to shoot through three panes of (quite dirty) glass. No excuses though! There are still a few descent shots…but that’s for you to be the judge. I hope you enjoy the images!
These first few are from the northside.

The only color shot from the day...just not feeling like the friendly confines with the gray skies and snow dusted ground:(
