Finally a sunny Tuesday! I am all too familiar with the Tuesday weather pattern since it’s my only guaranteed day for some photography. And after what feels like months of nothing but gray, gloomy skies I was thrilled to see some sunshine today, even if it was absolutely freezing!
While I prefer the cloudy skies for outdoor portrait sessions, I much prefer the sunshine for just about every other type of photography. The harsh lines created by the contrasting light and shadows, details reveled or hidden depending on where the light falls just creates a much more dynamic setting and so many more photographic possibilities.
Determined to finish my ‘L’ series this winter/spring I rode the entire length of the purple and pink lines today; the last two lines to finish the series. Here I’ll focus on the purple line, mainly the north end since I’ve shot many images through the loop and things are beginning to look a bit redundant. Tomorrow I’ll post the pink line images and within the next week or two I’m hoping to recap the best from all the lines.
