“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.”
Dr. Seuss, I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!
How fitting that a library would be named in honor of the one-and-only Dr. Seuss! And to have the Dr. Seuss Collection housed in a building as unique as he is only icing on the cake. This piece of brutalist architecture, designed by William Pereira, came up in my search for interesting architecture in the San Diego area. Of course I have to squeeze in at least a couple stops for some photography on any trip. And since my husband and I had a couple days alone to explore San Diego I dragged him along…I think he snuck in a few naps waiting around here and the Salk Institute, but that’s never a bad thing, right?!
Onto the photography…
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!”
Dr. Seuss,
Oh, the Places You’ll Go!
