Yesterday was quite a random day of subject matter—low-lying fog, the Chicago skyline, street photography, architecture and abstracts. I spent the morning walking around with another mom-tographer friend who typically photographs kids and families (be sure to check out her work here and here..I love her images!). Unlike my usual days of shooting we didn’t have much of a plan in place, but it was so great to spend a few hours with another mom who gets both the photography and mom world. While these are certainly not my best photos, there’s one I definitely like more than the others…can you guess which one?

While they don't say, "Chicago!" I really like the photo with the street lamps and the vertical background (over by Marina Towers, I think) and I like the shop window with the hat displayed (Monodnok Bldg I think). I hope you like those, too! Don't forget to let us know!
You know me quite well;) Those are the exact two I like best and maybe the square version of the Flamingo. But the streetlamp one is definitely my favorite one from the day. For some reason I love that parking structure and those streetlamps against it, I've shot it many times. And, yes, it's by Marina Towers and Trump Tower. And I love that hat shop in the Monadnock Building!
I love looking for those same type of photos in the city. Had my office in monadnock bldg for a couple of years while the bldg was being restored... What a great bldg.
It most definitely is! It has such an old school vibe, it's a bit like you walked into a different era when walking into that building.
