Friday I had the opportunity to chaperone my daughter’s 1st grade field trip and there might not be a better field trip than the architectural boat tour down the Chicago River. Despite having been on this boat tour a couple times it never gets old, there’s always something new to learn and it seems there are always new buildings to photograph or changes to older buildings….even if this time the changes involve a high level of narcissism by the owner of one iconic building along the river.
I rarely take my “real” camera out when I’m with my kids anymore, especially not on a field trip with far too much to be paying attention to, so the trusty back-up camera, aka the iPhone did the job just fine.
