I’ve been going through photographic withdrawal lately. I haven’t been out shooting for weeks, all my Wednesday’s (along with many other days and nights) have been consumed with the business side of the photography and other random personal obligations. I’m not complaining, this means good things are happening, but I need to get back out there to create some new images. So, while today’s pick and circumstances were less than ideal I’ll take what I can get right now.
My kids have been battling a bit of a cold so today, after being cooped up far too much this week and missing out on this spectacular fall-like weather, we drew one of our 52 Adventures in Chicago cards. Avery pulled the River North Hot Spots card. While the suggestions on the card are technically River North (Excalibur, Hard Rock Cafe and other touristy restaurants in the area) it’s not exactly how I’d define River North. I tend to associate this area more with the gallery district (which is the largest outside of Manhattan), some excellent restaurants and nightlife.
Nevertheless we pretty much stuck around the cards suggestions with all these touristy spots centered within River North. And much to the kids delight they got to choose our lunch spot…big surprise, they chose Rainforest Cafe (seriously, I never need to go back here!).
