For those camera-shy photographer’s, and aren’t most of us(?), here’s as close to a self-portrait as I’ve been in years!
It’s still a stretch…far more about the architecture, lines and geometries than my tiny little reflection. The dreaded self-portrait is one of those things I think most photographer’s struggle with. We’re all so much more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it, this is certainly the case for me. I’ve tried self-portraits over the years and always end up deleting them…I hate being photographed, whether I’m making the photo or someone else is. It’s one of those things I’m always trying to work on because, after-all, it would be nice to be in some of those family pictures. I’d like my kids to know I was actually there with them experiencing things as opposed to just documenting them. And it’s always good to push yourself outside your comfort zone from time to time. Maybe late to the whole new year’s resolution thing but I’ll add this to the list of things to work on!

A selfie is a selfie is a selfie regardless of the appliance used to make the photo. Better when someone else takes your photo. Maybe we could work on that at OoC?
Chris should add a class taught by someone on how to overcome the aversion to self-portraits!
