Yesterday I received the great news that I was awarded 1st place in the ND Awards Professional Architecture: Buildings category for my series Harmonic. What a perfect way to end the week!
I also received two Honorable Mentions. The first in the Professional Architecture: Buildings category for my series Rhythm. The second in the Professional Architecture: Interiors category for my series Channeling O’Keeffe.
Both the Harmonic and Rhythm series showcase the relationship between the natural world and the human world. Harmonic solely focuses on the Walt Disney Concert Hall and is in color while Rhythm is a series of 4 different buildings with black and white processing to create a more cohesive mood. Both series demonstrate the interplay between the beauty of the natural world and the beauty we, humans, create.
Channeling O’Keeffe is a set of three images from a larger series by the same name. It is, very simply, a photographic interpretation of architecture that feels O’Keeffe-like in its composition.
I would also like to offer a big congratulations to all the winners, to see them click here.

Congratulations ... You deserve it.
Thank you so much, Peter!
Many congratulations, Angie! Your images are stunning! I was in a session of yours at this summer's OOC Conference. I really appreciated your encouragement to all of us to shoot what we love, try to understand patterns in what we shoot to then be able to find direction and focus (no pun intended). I also appreciate that you're not a gear freak and that you don't have to have the best equipment to make the best images. Cheers!
Thank you very much, Dellia! And thank you for attending one of my sessions! It's certainly true about gear, you don't need a lot or the very best. Most importantly you need to understand the gear you have and how to best utilize it and what you might need to rent or borrow to get a specific job done or shoot what you envision. Hope to see you again in June at the 2016 OOC Conference!
Congratulations Angie! I am a relative novice, I love your work and find it inspiring!
Thank you very much, Andrea! I appreciate the message ????
