I’m so excited to announce 2 new collaborative learning opportunities!
The first is a new online photography school with Out of Chicago Photography. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to interact with photographers from all over the world in this small, intimate community.
The first course I’ll be teaching is Architecture Photography: Intro to Composition 101. Each week we’ll meet for an hour online where I’ll share a new compositional tool you can incorporate into your architecture photography. You’ll then have a week to create images using this tool. The following week will start with a selected share and critique, followed by a new assignment. There will also be office hours each week where you can reach out to me if you have any questions or want feedback as you work on the assignment.

The second is a workshop at the R.S. Chicago Photography Classes(CPC). I’ll be leading a 2-day workshop centered around my The White City project. We’ll start Thursday evening (May 4) with an online presentation where I’ll share the inspiration behind this series, you can ask questions and begin to think about how you want to approach our day of photographing.
Two days later (Saturday, May 6), we’ll begin at Navy Pier for a day filled with photographing many locations around downtown Chicago relevant to this series. You will create your own version of these locations based on your unique vision, whether related to Larson’s book or a source of inspiration unique to you. And I’ll be there to help guide you through this process while on location.
The following day we’ll meet at CPC where I’ll go over my post-processing techniques related to this series. You’ll then work on your own images, coming away with prints of your own.

Would love your feedback on these new learning opportunities and I hope to see you there!
