A few weeks ago I crashed the Out of Chicago Winter Conference at the University Center of Lake County. I didn’t teach, but it was so fun seeing other instructor and photographer friends for the day.
Part of the afternoon was a shootout, which basically entailed instructors being stationed at various areas of the University Center – some architecture locations, some portrait sessions, splash photography, macro photography, etc.
As you can imagine I spent most of my time in a couple architecture areas. There’s this great spiral staircase in the entrance of the center, which is where I spent most of my time.
Then I made a few shots in the courtyard of the center in the warm afternoon light.
To see the color versions of these shots, check this set here.
