Onto week 5 of the Intro to Architecture Composition class with a topic of reflections. This is one my favorite tools and things to be on the lookout for when shooting. Images can look like double exposures, give the impression of layer upon layer pulling you further into the frame, they can feel warpy and trippy or be a mere reflection of one thing in another.
For the class we predominantly focused our attention on two locations. The first is the Burberry building on Michigan Avenue. It may not be an architecture critics favorite design but it sure is fun to photograph.
Then we stopped by Trump Tower. While Mr Trump is hugely controversial, this building, which I like to think has absolutely nothing to do with him and everything to do with the architect, Adrian Smith of SOM, is nothing but great design. With a lot of fun photographic options to boot.
Then a building we passed by toward the end of class…
