The first stop on our February Los Angeles workshop was the Richard Meier designed Getty Center. This is absolutely one of my favorite places in LA. Not only for the great architecture but it’s this nice oasis from the city.
With LA’s sunny, bright, blue skies, the white tile and stone of the Getty plays nicely off those soft or bold blue tones, depending on how you utilize the light in your images.

This last one is a bit of an outlier in regards to incorporating the blue skies and white, it’s subtly bouncing off the walls of the lobby, but what I most like about this image is the tones of blues and greens on the white. Might be my favorite shot from this stop 🙂

Of course I edited most of these in black & white as well. To see all the Getty images from this visit and past visits, head here. For everything from the workshop, here. Enjoy!
