Oklahoma City – Skydance Bridge

Hi there! Back again with one more stop in Oklahoma City. Another sculptural piece, the Skydance Pedestrian Bridge. Given the road trip schedule we only had about a half hour late morning to photograph this location but from photos I’ve seen online, there’s some great LED lighting at night that would be worth checking out if you’re in the area.
The bridge’s design is inspired by the Oklahoma state bird, the scissor-tailed flycatcher. It’s pretty clear from the photos below. Though I couldn’t help but thinking of the Edward Scissorhands movie while shooting this, lol. And, hey, I managed a wide shot for y’all!

Of course, the majority of shots are more detailed and abstract, again a mix of color and black & white because I think both versions work. Let me know if you have a preference.

The sunburst showing through the sculptural piece was hard to pass up!

To see everything from Oklahoma City head over here. Up next, a little detour with some nature abstracts…stay tuned 🙂
