As I mentioned in the last couple of posts, I’m going to diverge a little from my regular architecture photos and share some nature shots. Albeit, still abstract. My style of shooting doesn’t change too much regardless of subject matter. The way I see things is pretty well formed at this point, at least from an artistic perspective. It’s the way I most enjoy shooting, even when the subject matter changes. Aside from architecture, I’d have to say clouds are my other photographic love so I’ll start with some shots I made over the 2-week road trip through the southwest.
Most were made on the third day of the trip when we couldn’t get into the Carlsbad Caverns due to the shutdown, don’t even get me started on that! So, instead of checking out the caverns we drove around the park a bit making many stops so I could capture the amazing clouds that day. I prefer the black and white versions I’m sharing here but I did edit them in color as well. Here you go if you’d like to see that version (along with a few other cloud shots from other times) 🙂
Do you see the fish or the whale with water coming out of its blowhole in the one below?!
