As promised, following the Day 1 Recap of the Los Angeles workshop a couple of days ago, here’s Day 2! We started the morning at another favorite location, the Walt Disney Concert Hall. This year we lucked out with being able to explore the interiors from top to bottom. This is one of my favorite parts of the museum, particularly the 1st and 2nd floors. Lots of great lines and geometry.
Onto to the exterior, the strong light on the metallic surface always makes for some great drama.
Just across the street is The Broad, another favorite downtown.
After a break for lunch, we stopped by the historic Bradbury. Since I’ve done the wider lookup shots, I did some focusing on the details of the metalwork.
Next up the Los Angeles Federal Courthouse. We had some great clouds overhead!
A short walk away is the LAPD.
Our final stop downtown was the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels. Such a beautiful, modern church.
And just across the street a detail of the robot-like Ramon C. Cortines School of Visual and Performing Arts.
Our final stop of the day was the Griffith Observatory for some skyline shots. Given the busyness of the location, I opted for some cloud photos like this one 😉
