I’m finally getting to editing my London images from my June trip, which was a mix of scouting for an upcoming Photography Unfolded workshop and a little vacationing since I’ve never been here before.
Exploring and photographing London’s museums was easier than expected. Given I was carrying around a good amount of gear and a pretty big photo backpack, not having to check backpacks in any of the museums was a pleasant surprise! Plus, quite a few are free to the public.
Today I’m sharing a few shots from the Victoria & Albert Museum, which is the world’s largest museum of applied and decorative arts and design, including sculpture. Only fitting that a large Chihuly chandelier is hanging in the main entrance. As you can see, this was a large focus of my visit here.
The greens and blues contrast nicely with the warmer hues of the building’s arches. Speaking of those arches, here’s a shot of a few layers from the stairwell near the Chihuly.
One more, combining yet another sculpture with the arches of the building falling away in the background.
Definitely preferred the soft peachy hues to the black and white versions in this space. Stay tuned for much more London! And if you’d like to join me and Michael in London for a photo workshop, Save the Date: April 30 – May 3, 2020! Details and registration coming later this fall.
