Continuing in Hudson Yards and the High Line in NYC is The Shed designed by Diller, Scofidio + Renfro. This was a fun one to photograph! The retractable exterior is covered in a Teflon-like material and the way the facade changes depending on the light is remarkable. First up, a shot from inside The Shops at Hudson Yards looking out at The Shed in the background. As usual, the color vs. black & white offer quite different moods.
A very detailed shot of the curvy facade. You see above and below the blue of the sky reflecting on the surface.
As the sun moves, the neighboring Vessel has begun reflecting on its surface giving these pinkish hues.
As my angle to the structure changes, so does the light, getting a little more dramatic and warm from the sun.
More moving, more drama.
