A couple of weeks ago I was in Salt Lake City for my son’s soccer tournament. Luckily, we had a little bit of downtime to do some exploring.

When we first arrived, we couldn’t check in to our hotel yet so we decided to make a little visit to the State Capitol before his practice. Situated atop a pretty big hill there are some nice views of the city and mountains.

We headed inside to check it out. What a beautiful space, especially the dome.

Then we wandered outside a bit longer. I did edit these in both color and BW but prefer the BW, so here you go…

And, my son, who, of course, climbed every surface he could find!

It was a nice few days away and we did some other sightseeing as well – Antelope Islands, Park City, a short hike up Bridal Veil Falls and a nice drive through the mountains. Definitely a city and area worth a visit 🙂
