Last Friday, Mark Evans, founder of Camversation, was kind enough to invite me along on his photowalk around downtown Chicago. He was in town with his family from the UK and organized a little meetup with a group of photographers. Also, a few months ago a couple of photographers introduced the two of us. Such a small world, sometimes.

We had a nice walk around some downtown favorites. I didn’t shoot much but here are a handful of shots I did make.

First up, an Urban Quilt addition as we headed west from the Art Institute.

Next, we stopped by the Calder Flamingo.

As we were heading west from there, I noticed the Chase Tower casting its shadow on the urban canyon view looking north. I shot both vertically and horizontally and really couldn’t decide which I preferred. What are your thoughts?
