The final workshop of 2025 is in the books! Just realizing we started and ended the year in California. That’s a fun coincidence. This workshop was a bit unusual in that every participant, except one, was from the San Francisco area. The one outlier was from Chicago. Typically, the group is from all over the states, and sometimes other countries. Kind of fun to have so many locals. And, even share some locations they have never photographed before.

I’m pretty behind on my editing, so I’m not sure when I’ll get to my SF images, but I’m excited to share the attendees’ images with you. Let’s jump in!

Janet Reinstra

This was Janet’s first workshop with me, so lovely having her join me in her hometown!

Loving the painterly quality of Janet’s shot of the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption. She’s also sharing some beautiful shots of City Hall and the deYoung Museum.

Michael Kowalsky

My one non-SF outlier joining me from Chicago 😉 Always nice to have Michael on a workshop. Even if he brings the gloomy weather with him 😉 Just kidding, of course!

He’s sharing some great lookups of the Golden Gate Bridge, MIRA, and a building I can’t seem to find the name of.

Addie Jenkins

Addie wasn’t able to attend out outings due to an injury but since she’s a local she shared some recent work and joined us for the presentation and image review. She’s sharing some nice shots of SFMOMA and she has me stumped on the other two locations. But, some nice layered black & whites.

Anne Keyser

Anne began her workshop year in LA with me and ended her year with me in SF. So kind of her to join me at both ends of the year. Always lovely to have her along:)

Penelope Tamm

This was Penelope’s first workshop with me as well. Loving her eye for these intricate patterns throughout the city – City Hall, The Embarcadero, and my favorite of hers – Transamerica Pyramid.

Greg Mottola

Also, Greg’s first workshop with me. Always intimidating to have an architect join a workshop! Love the details he captured at the Transamerica Pyramid (very different than Penelope’s take above), 450 Sutter, and Columbus Tower (or the Sentinel Building).

Debra Reabock

Another first timer! Debra’s sharing some colorful shots with us. Some symmetry at the Golden Gate Bridge and SFMOMA. And, a fun multiple exposure at MIRA.

Helen Sweet

Another newbie, Helen made some beautiful images with her cellphone. She’s sharing a shot from the Hyatt Regency, a location I’m not sure of, and a really beautiful shot of The Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption.
