In a brisk six hours, we walked 15 sites in Chicago’s famed Loop. Unlike what happens on other photo workshops, Angie spends time at each building and sculpture actually showing you numerous, published images of hers – taken from different angles and different perspectives -- that provide both an opportunity for emulation, as well as a jumping off point for one’s own experimentation and exploration. Seeing Angie’s images at each site, and hearing her commentary, I learned quickly that abstract architectural photography involves close focus on details – color, pattern, shape, texture, line, and shadow.
